Founded in 2015 by Alisha Pitts and Jennifer Vargas, who had a common goal of developing a Women’s Empowerment Conference that will help others think BIG, reach their full potential and pursue their passion in life. A quick conversation at a friend’s baby shower quickly escalated into planning and Ignite Your Passion Women’s Empowerment Conference was formed. Alisha and Jennifer had a very successful conference in 2015 but due to the demanding schedule of motherhood and working schedules, the two opted to take a year off to decide if they wanted to continue. After prayer and direction from God, Alisha began on her own planning for the 2nd Ignite Your Passion Women’s Empowerment Conference in 2017. The 3rd Annual Conference is now underway and scheduled for September 22, 2018.

 

As a business owner of A+STYLES (Fashion Consultant Business) and Banking professional, Alisha has experienced working with women in all facets of life. One thing she believes is that all women have in common the instinct and intuition to accomplish anything in life. Alisha believes she was born with a calling to help others. Alisha’s vision for Ignite Your Passion is to provide a conference for all women despite their economic status. She has started partnership with several local non-profit organizations to include young women in their program to attend the Ignite Your Passion Women’s Empowerment Conference for free. The goal is to connect and reach as many women as possible, and share the resources she was given on her path to success.

Alisha is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the South Charlotte Chapter of Jack & Jill of America. She enjoys spending time with her beautiful family and friends, traveling, shopping, fine dining and enjoying life to the fullest. Her favorite quote is by Maya Angelou “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”.
